Erica Avila is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Ms. Avila graduated from the University of Texas Pan American in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. In 2004, she decided to pursue a nursing career and was awarded an Associate Degree in Nursing from South Texas College in 2006. Ms. Avila worked for nine years as a registered nurse, four of which she specialized in psychiatric nursing and worked at an inpatient behavioral hospital. In 2015, she graduated magna cum laude from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. The same year, she was accepted into the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. In 2018, Ms. Avila received her Master of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University and passed her board certification exam allowing her to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specializing in Psychiatry in the state of Texas.
