Alexandra Barraza, PA

I'm a board-certified Physician Assistant graduated from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She currently has a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders, a master’s degree in physician assistant studies, and was a special education teacher licensed by the Texas Education Agency.

I was a licensed speech-language pathologist assistant for five years serving the communities of La Feria, Brownsville, and Harlingen. I provided therapy services to children of all ages, including children with developmental delays, articulation disorders, Autism, and Down Syndrome.

Then I became a special education teacher for four years serving the children of San Benito at the middle school and high school level. I taught children with special needs and ensured their learning environment was accommodated to their individual education plans.

Since 2009, I have been an advocate for her patients and students; I wholeheartedly believe in serving others. I am a wife and a mother to four children. During her spare time, I enjoy running and staying active with my family.
