My name is Kenia Walker, I am a Board-Certified Physician Assistant dedicated to psychiatric care in the Rio Grande Valley.
I began my academic journey at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Sciences in Biotechnology. 3 years later, I obtained a Master in Physician Assistant Studies at UT Health Science Center. In 2008, I returned to the valley, eager to serve the community I have always called home.
Originally from Mexico, I’ve called the Rio Grande Valley home since the age of three. This community has shaped who I am and inspired my commitment to giving back through meaningful, compassionate care.
Where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Sciences and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies. In 2008. I returned to the Valley soon after, eager to serve the community I’ve always called home.
Over the years, I’ve worked across diverse clinical settings, including Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, Correctional Psychiatry and Inpatient Psychiatry, each shaping my approach to care and deepening my understanding of mental health.
Today, I’m proud to be part of the compassionate and committed team at JNC Behavioral Services. Together, we strive to offer accessible, high-quality care to our community. I look forward to connecting with you and walking alongside you on your path to healing.
